I hope you are enjoying a restful and fun-filled summer break! As we prepare for the new school year, the staff at Pine Forest Middle School has been working diligently to ensure your child continues to learn, grow, and thrive. It is my pleasure to officially welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year.
We are excited to invite you to our Open House on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the following times:
6th Grade: 4:00–5:30 PM
7th & 8th Grades: 5:30–7:00 PM
Each session will begin with a brief meeting in the auditorium.
Important Information and changes:
-Student Schedules will be mailed during the second week of August.
-Bus Information will be available in the cafeteria during Open House. Families may also submit new transportation requests at that time.
Car Riders: Morning drop-off begins at 7:00 AM. Please do not drop students off earlier. Please read the post about traffic patterns in our news.
Dress Code: Guidelines are posted on the school website.
Book Bags: While clear or mesh bags are encouraged, all book bags will be stored in lockers upon arrival.
Locks: Available for purchase via School Cash Online. Students will keep their locks permanently.
Attendance Policy: Cumberland County Schools has implemented a new attendance policy. Please visit the district website for more information.
Morning Tardies: Our school day begins at 7:00 AM. If a student arrives late after 7:30 AM, a parent or guardian must accompany them inside to sign them in.
Please Note: Shot records, physicals, medications, and enrollment documents will not be accepted during Open House. The front office will be open Monday–Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, beginning August 11, 2025, to handle these matters.
Lunch: We have exciting news to share for the new school year! PineForest Middle School has qualified for the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) this year, which allows all students enrolled here at Pine Forest Middle School to receive breakfast and lunch at no charge. There is no meal application needed for the students here at Pine Forest Middle School. Parents are still encouraged to add funds to your students cafeteria account for a la cart purchase, by sending cash or a check with your student or visit the cafeteria's online prepayment service at www.MySchoolBucks.com. This is exciting news and we encourage you to take advantage of this great benefit in the new school year.
Sports: The first day of fall sports practice is Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Students interested in participating in volleyball, girls track, boys soccer, or football must have a current physical on file in order to try out or participate. No student will be allowed to try out without a valid physical. Please make sure all required paperwork is completed on Finalforms and submitted prior to the start date. PFMS will have FREE physicals on August 26 from 3:00 pm to 6:0 0 pm in the gym.
