Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is celebrating a major milestone as 17 schools have been removed from the state's low-performing list. CCS has made remarkable gains in student proficiency levels across the district, outpacing state trends in some key areas.

COGNIA

Cumberland County Schools (CCS) renewed its accreditation status, receiving Cognia® Systems Accreditation. Cognia, formerly AdvancED, is a nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools, school districts and education service providers.

STEM

For the fourth consecutive year, the STARward STEM EXPO showcased 16 student teams from seven elementary, middle and high schools. Over the past three years, more than 170 teams and 1,000 students have competed, inspiring the next generation of space explorers and innovators.
